Born and raised in the vibrant city of Lagos, Funmi’s love affair with radio began as a child, tuning in to late-night shows under the covers with a flashlight. His fascination with storytelling and music soon became his driving force. Funmi’s journey into radio was inevitable. Inspired by the magic of sound waves and the power of connection, He pursued his dreams relentlessly, knowing that his voice could be a beacon of comfort and joy for countless listeners. After earning his degree in Banking and Finance from The Polytechnic of Ibadan, meanwhile he has been practicing broadcasting while in school, After his HND Funmi dove headfirst into the world of broadcasting. From intern to on-air personality, he honed his craft with dedication and tenacity. His career highlights include hosting the MORNING DRIVE SHOW, “GBAN GBAN DEKUN,” OJUKORO and receiving the “Best Radio Personality” award. Outside of radio Funmi enjoys exploring the city vibrant music scene having fun with his colleagues and friends and spending quality time with his family.
